Monique is a qualified graphic designer and worked in Auckland, London and Sydney. She also ran her own graphic design business in Sydney for a number of years before having children with her husband Brett. She then trained as a teacher aide and enjoyed working with children including children with special needs. In January 2017 Monique was returning on a flight after seeing a family member fighting cancer. Deciding life is short the dream to start a Creative Centre including casual art, personalised products, parties, classes in art & movement, a spa area was born.
I have a long history in the Pakuranga community where my children have attended school since kindy. I taught locally and the people are a big part of our lives. We returned from Sydney 15 years ago to raise our children here as it’s such a friendly place for families with high quality education, beautiful beaches and lots to do! I’m really looking forward to welcoming all the different members of the community and giving them an outlet to create because Art is an important part of life for…
1. Fine motor skills
2. Observation skills
3. Stress relief
4. Another way to communicate to others.
5. Helps your self-esteem and confidence.
6. Bridges the gap between cultures.
7. Better self-awareness of their place in the world.
I hope Creative World can be a place for people to meet, be inspired and be happy!
